In the second step of the home fertility program, the medication phase, you will be prescribed specific fertility medications designed to stimulate ovulation. Common options include clomiphene citrate or Femara (letrozole), among others, which work by promoting the growth and release of eggs from the ovaries. It is crucial to take these medications at a precise time in your menstrual cycle, as directed by your healthcare provider, to maximize their effectiveness. Monitoring your body’s response through ovulation tests or ultrasound is recommended during this period to ensure optimal timing for conception. This step is essential for enhancing your chances of becoming pregnant by regulating your hormonal levels and encouraging ovulation.

In the third step of our home fertility program, you can experience a seamless and supportive process right in the comfort of your own home. Our dedicated provider or midwife, along with our skilled nursing staff, will travel to your location to ensure a personalized and comfortable experience. If you are not utilizing sperm from a sperm bank, the male partner will provide a fresh semen sample, which our team will carefully process through sperm washing to select only the highest quality sperm. Following this preparation, we will perform intrauterine insemination (IUI), delicately depositing the prepared sperm directly into the uterus. After the procedure, you will have a brief resting period of about 15-20 minutes before you can rise and resume your daily activities, all while knowing you are receiving expert care tailored to your needs.
The fourth and final step of the home fertility program involves taking a home pregnancy test approximately two weeks after your intrauterine insemination (IUI) procedure. This step is crucial for confirming that the pregnancy is developing as expected. Additionally, if desired, we can arrange for an ultrasound to further assess the pregnancy.
