Privacy Belongs to All of Us
Morton’s Flock camera network currently includes automated license plate readers capable of collecting and searching vehicle information across our community. While this technology can assist law enforcement, we believe its scale raises important questions about privacy, data sharing, oversight, and how information about everyday people is collected and accessed.
This isn’t about being anti-police or accusing anyone in Morton of wrongdoing. It’s about ensuring powerful surveillance technology has appropriate limits, transparency, and public accountability.
